Global Youth Connect
Program Director - Colombia
Our visit to the Presidential Office for Human Rights in Bogotá, Colombia
It all started when...
Global Youth Connect is a human rights education non-profit organization committed to mutually beneficial exchange and advocacy work in post-conflict countries around the world. With a significant history in Rwanda and Bosnia, the Colombia program marks the organization's return to Latin America.
As the director of the Colombia program, I launched the inaugural human rights delegation in Spring 2016, and returned with a second group of university students in Summer 2016. In an effort to provide delegates with a comprehensive perspective of the on-going conflict and peace process, We held discussions with government officials, experts, leading organizations, and community activists to better understand the experiences of those most affected.
See below for a collection of materials developed for the program.
